I am impressed that I kept an 8 minute pace at the first shot. That would explain the side ache I got AND the reason why I slowed it down for the remaining 3. I know that I can do better than 9:41, 9:37 and 9:36. I can run a mile faster than that. For some reason, I wasn’t feeling it today. I got tired easily and had to work really hard to get these numbers. On a get out there and run day, I can run a 9:15 minute mile barely trying. Not sure what that is about but I am hoping with experience and practice these numbers will improve.
2. Mommy Guilt. With my MIL in town last week, I realized that I have some MAJOR Mommy guilt when it comes to running. I have a hard time leaving the house to go running when the boys are at home. I feel like I should be at home spending as much time as I can with my boys and hubby when he’s around. Not sure why I struggle with this ‘cause these boys have been driving me CRAZY lately!
3. I did find my groove last week on a few of my runs. I am glad to be back in a schedule with the boys AND myself. I really enjoy my quiet afternoons where I can run, take a shower, clean house and waste time on here!
Time to do some sit-ups, leg raises and planks before my bouncing baby boys bound off of that school bus! Happy Running Y’all!!
